3D/4D Ultrasound ::: 1.30.12

Today is the day we’d long been awaiting. Seeing the precious faces of my little nuggets. It was nice to be able to see the twins and share the experience with our families.

It was an uncomfortable time for me. Laying on back for long periods of time gets more and more difficult as the days go by. Not only did I have to lay on my left side for most of the ultrasound (facing away from the screen), I also had to have the portable fan turned on AND my husband fan my with a manila folder for fear that I would pass out. I was sweating bullets. 🙁 Thank goodness we had printouts of the ultrasound and a cd of the pictures so that I wouldn’t miss a thing.

I’ll be very honest with you. I still have no idea who these babies look like. I’m told they have my cheeks and chin and I’m convinced that they have “The Hicks” nose, but we will really only be able to tell once they make their arrival. Either way, they were absolutely adorable and when I think of them rolling around in my belly, I can somewhat put a face with a person. Oh yeah, that brings something else up. How do I know who is who? Well Tenley is referred to as Baby A and she is on my left side. Tatum is referred to as Baby B and is on my right side. They never switch places so I can always tell who’s moving, who’s constantly in my rib cage (TATUM) and who I am talking to.

Hard to believe we are 9.5 weeks away from my expected induction/c-section date! I am all too excited to meet these little ones!

And finally……….what you all have been waiting for…..the 3D/4D Ultrasound pictures. First I will post a few of baby boy’s pictures and then I will follow up with baby girl!

Tatum Gray Hicks

Mean muggin’ like his daddy 😛

Tenley Noelle Hicks

I just want to squeeze those cheeks!!

Last but not least…my favorite from the session. Look at her smile! 😀

Who do you think they look like?

    Love, love, love the names!! I’m horrible at determining who baby’s look like, though. The one of Tenely smiling is my favorite as well. Looks like she has dimples.

    WOW! Those photos are amazing. Technology at it’s best. Mom didn’t have photos in utero, I had a poloroid type photo of my babies and a VHS with so much static that you had to mute it. My girls are 23 and 20 now.
