Letter To The Little Ones (happy FIRST birthday)

Dear Little Ones,

Today is your special day!! Happy First Birthday to you! I can’t believe how fast time has flown by! It’s been quite the year, but I wouldn’t change a thing!

I never knew how much joy motherhood would bring me. Especially with TWO of you! It’s been both the most tiring job of my life AND the most rewarding!

I look forward to watching you guys grow for years to come. The cheerful smiles that are constantly on your faces and hearing you say the words “mama”. There is no greater joy! My wish for the two of you is that you continue to light up the world with your spirits and bring the same joy to others that you have brought to me.

My little babies are ONE! Wow. Can’t even believe this day is finally here!

Enjoy this special day, eat lots of cake, and smile away at the world!

Hello there!  Hope you all are having a fantastic Friday.

It’s been crazy at the House of Hicks. Tenley has been diagnosed with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus). RSV causes an infection in the lungs and breathing passages, and is a major cause of respiratory illness in young children. The worst part? There is nothing to give her to help heal her more quickly. So she’s out of daycare for two weeks and is on the nebulizer to help break up some of the cold in her chest. We will just continue to pray that she recovers quickly.

Now for some good news!! The twins and I had a Mommy and Me shoot on Sunday. I wanted to get some pics done of them for their upcoming 1st birthday because the 3 of us don’t have any pictures together. I decided to go with Bridgett Shepherd Photography and boy was I ever happy about that decision! She did a fantastic job of capturing the 3 of us…..even with Tenley being sick!

We’re Still Alive….

I’ve got to do a better job of blogging on here. I literally have stuff since Christmas that I’ve been meaning to blog! Shame on me……I know! It’s just been difficult not having a functioning camera on my iPhone for 4 months (but that problem is now fixed with my upgrade to the iPhone 5).

The good news is that I’m still taking pictures with me Nikon at least and I’m back to instagraming our entire lives starting last month!:-)
